Mount Abu Sanctuary

You will be welcomed to the Mount Abu Santuary with a sign displayed at the entrance" Use your eyes to see the plants, birds and animals, use your ears to hear birds and animals call, use your legs to walk --the more you walk, the more you see and hear"

This Sanctuary has sprawling greens, which is a home to panthers, bears, sambars, foxes, wild boars and numerous eye-catching birds. The sanctuary is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm with a minimal entry fee. It’s here in Mount Abu, the only place in Rajasthan, where you can watch a variety of orchids. The sanctuary is wealthy in herbal medicinal plants also.

There are many other animals found here like Sambhar, Jungle Cat, Small Indian Civet, Wolf, Hyaena, Jackal, Indian Fox, Common Langoor, Wild Boar, Pangolin, Rate! Common Mongoose, Indian Hare, Porcupine, Hedgehog, etc. The population of Sloth Bear is increasing regularly as it can be seen while going through the forests or motoring on the road. The sanctuary makes available an ideal habitat for Sloth Bear.
