Dungarpur is famous
for its temples and palaces. It is situated in
the foothills of the Aravalis in the western Indian
State of Rajasthan. The Mahi and the Som are the
two magnificient rivers which flow through the
area. Rawal Veer Singh founded Dungarpur in 1282A. Dungarpur
has a unique style of architecture as seen in
its palaces and noble residence. The word Dungar
means a hill or a mountain and pur means a town.

gave the name of this royal residence.
The palace gives an example of the
Rajput architecture ornate with intricately
sculptured pillars and panels, with
impressive Balconies, enchanting windows

Juna
Mahal It is a seven
storied structure of 13th century
which resembles of a fortress with
designed walls,turrets,narrow entrances
and corridors to slow down the enemy.
It makes an impressive creation of
miniature paintings glass and mirror
work and splendid interiors embellished
with beautiful frescoes.
